I Think My Kid's Got a Tapeworm

I've got a teenage son named Tucker.
Raising him hasn't always been easy. Hell, some days I wonder which one of us is supposed to be the adult.
But I'll tell you something. Of all the things I've built in my life, being his dad is the one thing I'm most proud of.
I don't have all the answers. Never claimed to. I've made mistakes, lost my patience, and probably said "what the hell were you thinking?" more times than I can count.
But I've always believed raising a boy takes more than putting a roof over his head and food on the table.
You gotta teach him how to think for himself, take responsibility for his actions, treat people right, and figure out how to handle life when things don't go his way.
And sometimes you've gotta let him screw something up so he can learn how to fix it.
I'm still figuring some of this shit out myself.

Some of it's serious. Some of it's funny. And some of it probably ain't gonna win me any parenting awards.

I wrote a book about some of the things I believe matter in life. Responsibility, respect, independence, and learning how to stand on your own two feet.
I ain't claiming to have life figured out. But I've learned a few things along the way.

And then there's Tucker's little business venture.
He's gotten himself into selling Scentsy, so naturally, I've been helping him get the word out.
I figure if the boy wants to make a little money, he might as well learn something about earning it.
